How to Import a Section from Another Form

Learn how to import a section from another form in Smarter Drafter Pro.

If you’ve already created a section in one form and want to reuse it in another, you can import it directly—no need to rebuild it from scratch. This guide walks you through how to import sections from an existing form into your current one.

Instructions

  1. Open the destination form in the Form Builder.
  2. Scroll to the point where you want the new section to appear.
  3. Click Import from other form

    Import from other Form 1
  4. In the pop-up window, browse or search to find the form containing the section(s) you want to reuse.
  5. Click on the relevant form. A list of its available sections will appear as a dropdown.
  6. Select the section(s) you want to import by ticking the box next to each one.
  7. Click Select.

    Select Sections-2

TIP: The selected sections will be inserted at the point where you clicked Import. They will appear in the draft version of the form.

All section and field IDs will automatically update to avoid conflicts. Any logic, conditions or calculations tied to those IDs will also update automatically.
