How to Import a Content Block into a Form

Learn how to import a content block into a form in Smarter Drafter Pro.

Content Blocks let you create reusable sections that can be inserted into multiple forms. This helps you maintain consistency and save time by building common components—like contact details or declarations—once and using them wherever needed.

Instructions

  1. Open your form in the Form Builder.
  2. Scroll to the point where you want to insert the content block.
  3. Click Import.
  4. In the pop-up window, locate and select Content Block from the available options.
  5. Browse or search to find the content block you want to use.
  6. Click to select it, then click Insert

NOTE: The selected content block will appear at the insertion point. You can move it using drag and drop like any other section.

TIP: If you need to make updates, edit the original content block so changes flow through to all forms using it.

Common Issues & Solutions

  • Issue: I can’t find the content block I created.
  • Solution: Make sure the block is saved and you have the correct folder access. Use the search bar to locate it by name.
  • Issue: I need to customise the content block after importing.
  • Solution: Content Blocks are intended to be centrally managed. If you need a one-off version, consider cloning a section from another form instead.
