This release introduces Data-Driven Automation (DDA), an API-first approach to document generation that allows integration directly into business systems without filling forms in-app. It includes API key management and a new developer portal.
A new Auto-Assign Roles feature streamlines role assignment from Actionstep or Unity with a single click, also supporting bulk manual role assignment. A new notification bell in-app to stay updated on key events like Clause Bank approvals and Fast Start job updates.
The release also includes bug fixes for issues with negative values in number fields and unwanted buttons appearing in published forms.

Data-Driven Automation in Smarter Drafter Pro
Data-Driven Automation (DDA) leverages our existing automation engine but delivers a distinct API-first interface for document generation. DDA APIs will bypass the need to fill forms in Smarter Drafter and integrate the Smarter Drafters document generation process as part of business systems and workflows. Learn more about DDA here.
- API Keys Management - this will create and update/delete API keys as well as manage permissions on keys in-app.
- Developer Portal - for developers to learn how to use our APIs.

Auto-assign Actionstep or Unity roles when starting a form
Previously for Actionstep or Unity matters, assigning roles when starting a Smarter Drafter form was tedious and repetitive, particularly when there were multiple roles. A new Auto-Assign button will automatically assign all identified roles from Actionstep or Unity with one click. Additionally, multiple roles can now be assigned at once when manually adding roles.
How it works:

Choose either Actionstep or Unity matter when starting a form
- Click on Auto-Assign All
- Any identified roles that match the role name in Actionstep or Unity matter will be automatically assigned
- Roles can easily be removed and added manually still if required
Clear All button is newly introduced which will remove all roles assigned.

Smarter Drafter Pro in-app Announcements
Introducing the new announcement bell, your dedicated hub for staying informed about important updates. This ensures you're always in the loop, providing timely notifications for things like Clause Bank approvals and Fast Start job updates. Just click the bell icon to see all your key announcements at a glance.

This release includes enhancements to webhooks, allowing configuration of the authorisation method, iManage file path, and externalID for deep links.
The Submission table now supports searching by Matter and Client columns for easier filtering. Bug fixes address issues with deleted form templates not being removed, Unity submission modals getting stuck due to authorisation errors, and bookmarked images not populating correctly in templates.
