How to Add, Rename, or Delete a Section in a Form
Learn how to add, rename, and delete a section in forms in Smarter Drafter Pro.
Sections are the building blocks of your form. Each section acts as a container for one or more fields, and helps organise content for the person filling out the form. This guide shows you how to add a new section, rename an existing one, or delete a section you no longer need.
Instructions
Add a New Section
- Open your form in the Form Builder.
- Scroll to the position where you want to add a new section.
- Click New Section.
- (If you don't see the New Section button, make sure you are in Draft mode).
- A blank section will appear. You can begin typing to name the section and hit save once done.
- Add fields as needed.
Rename a Section
- Click on a section to open its properties panel.
- Enter your desired section name in the Heading field.
- Optional: Tick Hide Heading if you don’t want the heading to appear to the form filler.
- Click Save to apply your changes.

Delete a Section
- Locate the section you want to remove in the Form Builder.
- Click the 3-dots option button that appears on hover beside the section header.
- Select Delete section from the drop down menu.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.

IMPORTANT: Deleting a section also deletes all the fields within it. This action cannot be undone.
