How to Undo Edits in a Child Form

If you make changes to a child form that you later wish to revert, the Undo Edits feature allows you to quickly undo specific modifications. This article will guide you on how to use the Revert to Parent option to undo edits in a child form and restore it to its previous state.
Instructions
1. Open the Child Form
- Navigate to the Forms section and locate the child form you wish to edit.
- Click on the child form to open it.
2. Access the Form Builder
- Once the child form is open, click on Build to open the form builder where you made the edits.
3. Locate the 'Revert to Parent' Option
- In the form builder, go to the specific field or section that you wish to undo changes for.
- Click on the Revert to Parent button located next to the field or section. This will revert the selected element back to its state from the parent form.
4. Revert Changes for a Section or Field
- You can use the Revert to Parent option for both individual fields and entire sections.
- If you want to undo changes made to a section, click the Revert to Parent option at the section level.
- For fields, click the Revert to Parent option next to the specific field.
5. Save Your Changes
- After undoing the edits, make sure to click Save to apply the changes to the child form.
Common Issues & Solutions
- Issue: The Revert to Parent option is not appearing.
- Solution: Make sure you are editing a field or section that has been modified. The Revert to Parent option will only appear if changes have been made to the specific element.
- Issue: After reverting, the child form still doesn't match the parent form.
- Solution: Double-check that the correct field or section was reverted. If you need to undo multiple edits, repeat the process for each modified field or section.
