How to Assign Builder Permissions to Forms

Learn how to assign builder permissions to forms in Smarter Drafter Pro.

Builder permissions in Smarter Drafter allow you to control who can access, build, and manage forms in your organisation’s form library. This article will guide you through the steps of assigning builder permissions to forms.

Instructions

1. Navigate to Permissions Settings

  • Go to the Settings menu in the top navigation bar.
  • Click on Permissions to access user permission settings.

2. Select the User to Assign Permissions To

  • In the User Permissions tab, search for the user you wish to assign permissions to.
  • Click on the user’s name to open their individual permission settings.

3. Assign Builder Permissions to Forms

  • Under the Builder Permissions section, you will see three options for granting access to forms:
  • No Access: The user will not have access to build document automations.
  • All Forms & Folders: The user will have unlimited builder access to all forms and folders.
  • Specific Folders & Forms: Select this option to grant access to specific forms or folders.
  • Choose the desired option for the user.

4. Set Folder-Level Permissions (if applicable)

  • If you selected Specific Folders & Forms, a table will appear where you can assign specific system functions at the folder and form level (e.g., Read, Edit, Delete, Publish).
  • Ensure that you select the appropriate permissions for the user based on their role and responsibilities.

5. Save Changes

  • After assigning the necessary permissions, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.


Common Issues & Solutions

Issue: The "No Access" option is not available.
Solution: Ensure that the user is assigned to a group with appropriate permissions, or contact your account administrator to adjust the permission settings.
