How to Remove an Applied Conditional Rule in Word
Learn how to remove an applied conditional rule in Word in Smarter Drafter Pro.
If you no longer need a conditional rule in your document, you can remove it. This guide will show you how to delete a conditional rule from your Word template.
Instructions
1. Go to the Word Document
- Open the Word document where the conditional rule has been applied.
2. Access the Word Add-In:
- In the Word Add-In, go to the Conditional Rules tab.
3. Select the Rule You Want to Remove
- Find the rule you want to delete in the list of applied conditional rules.
4. Click the Bin Icon
- Click on the Bin icon next to the rule you wish to delete.
5. Confirm the Deletion
- A prompt will appear asking if you want to delete the rule. If you want to delete the content within the rule as well, check the box to confirm this action.
6. Click Remove
- Click Remove to delete the rule from the document. The content control wrapped by the rule will also be removed from the document.

Common Issues & Solutions
- Issue: The rule was removed, but the content remains.
- Solution: If you want to remove the content associated with the rule, make sure to check the box to delete the content when prompted during the removal process.
