How to Edit Conditional Rules in Word Add-In

Once you’ve applied conditional rules to your document, you might need to make adjustments. This guide shows you how to edit the criteria of conditional rules in the Word Add-In.
Instructions
1. Go to the Word Document
- Open the Word document where the conditional rule has been applied.
2. Access the Word Add-In
- In the Word Add-In, go to the Conditional Rules tab.
3. Select the Rule You Want to Edit
- Find the rule you want to modify in the list of applied conditional rules.
4. Click the Pencil Icon
- Click on the Pencil icon next to the rule to open the editing options.
5. Edit the Rule Criteria
- Adjust the rule's criteria as needed (e.g., change the condition, modify the operator, or adjust the text content linked to the rule).
6. Save the Changes
- After making your changes, click Save to update the rule.
7. Apply the Updated Rule
- The changes will now apply to the document wherever that rule is used.

Common Issues & Solutions
- Issue: The edits are not reflecting in the document.
- Solution: After editing, refresh the Word Add-In by clicking Waffle > Refresh to ensure the updates are applied correctly.
