How to Apply Conditional Rules to Images in Word Documents

Conditional rules can also be applied to images, allowing you to control when specific images appear based on the user’s form input. This guide will show you how to apply these rules to images in your Word document template.

Instructions

1. Insert the Image

  • Add the image(s) that you want to control using conditional rules.

2. Highlight the Image

  • Click on the image you want to make conditional.

3. Access the Word Add-In

  • Open the Conditional Rules tab in the Word Add-In.

4. Select the Relevant Conditional Rule

  • Choose the appropriate conditional rule that applies to the image based on form responses.

5. Apply the Conditional Rule

  • Click Add to apply the conditional rule to the image. The image will now appear or disappear depending on the user's input in the form.

6. Repeat for Other Images

  • For any other images that require conditional rules, highlight the image and apply the appropriate rule.


Common Issues & Solutions

  • Issue: The image does not appear when expected.
  • Solution: Ensure the correct conditional rule is applied to the image and that the rule criteria match the user’s input in the form. Refresh the Word Add-In if needed.
