Enable Actionstep Integration

Learn how to enable the Actionstep integration in Smarter Drafter Pro.

To share matter and contact data between Actionstep and Smarter Drafter Pro, you’ll first need to enable the Actionstep integration. This one-time setup connects your Actionstep account to Smarter Drafter, allowing seamless data mapping between the two platforms.

Effortlessly connect your legal workflows with the Smarter Drafter and Actionstep integration. This native connection bridges your practice management and document automation, allowing you to launch Smarter Drafter forms directly using your existing Actionstep Matters.

By linking the two platforms, you can instantly pull in Actionstep Contacts and map specific data fields to your forms - eliminating manual entry and ensuring your documents are always populated with accurate, up-to-date information from your matter files.

Setup steps

1. Navigate to Integrations and search for Actionstep

2. Click on Manage and and Enable

3. Click on Save and Authenticate to Actionstep 



Common Issues & Solutions

Issue: Unable to see Integrations option on the left hand menu

Solution: Ensure you are part of a permission set that has access to Integrations

Issue: The Actionstep authentication window doesn’t appear.

Solution: Check your browser’s pop-up blocker settings and ensure pop-ups are allowed for Smarter Drafter.
