Actionstep Data Types Supported
Learn about the supported data types between Smarter Drafter and Actionstep
The integration with Actionstep requires mapping with fields and options in Smarter Drafter, however certain data types in Actionstep will work with corresponding field types in Smarter Drafter.

Option Sets
Smarter Drafter Pro Option sets are mapped to Actionstep Dropdown choices based on the following fields. Note that there are specific conditions based on the field type (explained in the Participant Type Mapping and Custom Data Mapping tables).

Conditions with Single Line Text
Data types such as Name, Email, Phone, ID or Address do not exist in Actionstep. To map these field types in Smarter Drafter, label names in Actionstep can include the respective field name based on the conditions in the below table. This is only applicable to Single Line Text fields for custom data types.
Where Single Line Text data type in Actionstep is used and does not contain any of the below conditions, by default the Smarter Drafter fields mapped will be Text, Name or Address.
Conditions are based on the specific text being included because a field label for example may be ‘Client Email’ and the inclusion of email in the label will allow it to be mapped to the respective email field in Smarter Drafter Pro.
